Product Overview
IAI RPCON-56P is a single-axis pulse motor controller unit designed for a compatible IAI RCP-series electric actuator using the 56P motor configuration. It forms part of the modular ROBONET controller system and communicates with the machine PLC through an installed Gateway R unit.
The controller manages actuator movement, programmed positioning, completion status and alarm information within an automated machine. It is mainly used for maintenance of existing ROBONET systems where the original actuator, controller and gateway arrangement must remain compatible.

Compatible Systems and Applications
RPCON-56P can be used in existing ROBONET installations controlling transfer equipment, assembly stations, packaging machinery, inspection systems, loading mechanisms and production fixtures. Multiple controller units can operate through the system gateway as part of a coordinated machine sequence.
The gateway determines the upper-level communication protocol and PLC data exchange. Actual operating functions depend on the installed gateway, actuator configuration, controller parameters and machine-control program.
Maintenance and Replacement Notes
The 56P motor code is an essential part of the controller configuration. RPCON-56P must not be replaced with RPCON-42P, RPCON-28P or another RPCON capacity solely because the modules have similar dimensions and connectors.
Before replacement, verify the complete controller model, connected actuator, motor configuration, gateway type, system address, firmware and stored parameter data. Record the controller position within the ROBONET assembly and photograph all connections before disassembly.
Back up stored position data whenever possible. After installing the replacement unit, check gateway communication, axis recognition, home-return operation, travel direction, positioning accuracy, alarm functions and machine safety circuits.
