IAI ACON-PL-20I-NP-2-0 is a single-axis pulse-train actuator controller for a matching IAI AC servo actuator using the 20I configuration. Unlike a standard stored-position controller, the PL version receives pulse commands from an upper-level PLC, positioning module or motion controller.
The commanded pulse count determines movement distance, while pulse frequency and controller settings determine motion speed. The exact pulse format, wiring and electronic interface must be confirmed from the installed controller documentation and machine circuit.

Compatible Systems and Applications
ACON-PL-20I-NP-2-0 can be used in indexing equipment, component-transfer mechanisms, insertion machines, inspection systems, packaging equipment and other machinery where an upper-level controller generates pulse-position commands.
The PLC or motion controller must provide the correct pulse electrical format and command direction logic. The controller and actuator combination must correspond to the original 20I configuration shown on the equipment nameplates.
Maintenance and Replacement Notes
Do not confuse ACON-PL with ACON-C or ACON-PO. These controller types use different command methods and may require different PLC output circuits. A visually similar controller is not automatically compatible with the machine wiring or motion program.
Before replacement, record the pulse-command format, electronic gear settings, movement direction, home-return parameters, actuator stroke limits, alarm assignments and auxiliary I/O signals. Photograph every connector before removing the original controller.
IAI lists ACON-PL/PO as discontinued and identifies ACON-PLB/POB as the successor family. Conversion to the newer controller requires verification of the actuator, electrical interface, connectors, dimensions, firmware and parameters.
